Would you still get one done even though it was still under warranty for another year! Or not bother because if something breaks your covered!

definitely get an inspection, might show up if the car has been accident damaged or something like that.Don't use AA though, maybe take it to a mechanic or dealer that you trust instead.More likely to actually find things, rather than count the stone chips on the bonnet and tell you that there is a tar mark on one carpet.

Depends.
If you are buying remotely, then yes, get somebody to have a look.
However if you or somebody else mechanically competent have had a chance to drive it a decent distance, have access to the service records (and they are complete), and have tried everything on the car that opens and shuts or turns on or off then in reality there is very little an inspection will tell you that you don't already know.

Personaly I wouldn't bother. I'd just speak to the service agents for the car. All it's history will be on record.

We got it inspected just to be sure as neither of us are mechanically minded. It passed with flying colours :)
