Hi you ford lovers. Thinking of looking at a 2003 Falcon on LPG . Don't know mileage but is meant to be in pretty good condition. It's advertised as a BF but I thought that era were BA. Two questions. What L/100 Km's should I expect from it, and How can I tell the difference between a BA and a BF! TIA. Asking price is $5990. In my mind could be a bit on the dear side, whats your opinion!

Late 2002 til early 2005 were BA (& BA2), and Early 2005 til early 2008 were BF (& BF2). So 2003 is a BA .Mileage wise, if it's running on LPG- around 14L/100km

You will get downto 11l/100km on a trip maybe mid 10s if you're lucky. Too dear if it's a base model XT if it's a Fairmont then might be a goer, I wouldn't worry about how many kays it's done more so on the general overall condition.

Will be pushed to get 10's out of a BA chris. They are a bit more thirsty than the Au's. Over the last 10,000km I am sitting on 12.5l/100km. Dont worry too much on the Km's, mine has done 365,000 and still drives great and uses no oil.

Keep in mind if its a 2003 it will be due for its 10 year tank test next year. Price wise, I would say too high.

Thanks all for your input. Yes don_logan I did think the price was high. Think I'll start the haggle at about $4500. Ive got to have a look at it before anything else though. Then sell my camry.
