Fog light question

night88, Oct 24, 1:07am
I have an older car (late 80's) and one of the fog lights is damaged and needs replacing. They are a sealed unit and a nightmare to replace (and not cheap either) so I would like to permanetly remove both as I never use them anyway.

My question: is this legal and would it pass a WOF!.

Thanks in advance.

yes you can take them off but if they are on there they must work

+1. There is no requirement to have them however if you do have them they must function as intended.

That's good news. Thanks.

no worries make sure when you take them out that you wrap the wires in insulation tape so they dont earth out and cause other problems

Will do. The wires are actually soldered into the lamp and need to be unsoldered to be removed as compared to the headlights which use a socket and are easy to take out.
