Yep it was a daft thing to do. Was cleaning down the engine on my '97 Falcon 6 cyl because of a bad leak around the oil sender guage. It was especially dumb because I read here yesterday people advising not to do such a thing. Well I was trying to be careful. Anyway it wouldn't run even after blowing air at all the electrics etc. Would appreciate ideas on which bits to look at if it won't go in the morning. Cheers all

The dizzy has probably got a drop of water inside. Remove cap and dry out. Compressed air or a dry cloth. Or if your really unlucky the ignition module decided to diein which case you will need to remove dizzy and replace module.

Car started OK after work, it had stood for over 24 hours with bonnet up. I took it for a drive to get nice and hot, ran fine. Guess I was lucky this time. Now gotta fix that leaking oil sender thingy.
