The black plastic panel trim between the front and rear windows has fallen off (it was loose already and only held on by sticky fixers).I've never been to a wreckers yard before so do I just rock up and ask if they have one or do I need to go in, find the same car and strip it off!

Just ring them, but dont forget to have the make model and year of car available.
