Will shit on most things off road, very capable. Economical compared to the 6 cylinder SUVs. Check the heater and climate control works as the blend door motors inside the dash are known to fail, make sure the diffs and transfer case has been serviced with the right oil otherwise it wont lock up properly. Check for service history, they came out in 1999 so some are getting long in the tooth, check for timing chain noise on start up on higher mileage. Get the best one for your budget not the cheapest. Good value for money. edit re long in the tooth, suspension bushes and ball joint may need attention on a higher mileage 12 year old car, you will get raped buying retail in NZ if thats the case. Only way to so it is buy ex usa plenty of websites to choose from. But it goes back to buying the best example you can afford not the cheapest.

avoid them the list is endless, plastic top radiators don't last coolant pipes fail heads problems to many to list, get a Hilux unless you want a project to work on and on and on.

I2nd thatand agreeespecially the crd 2.7 grand cherokee diesel model, The autotransmission ya don't wanna know about!quite a long list . and iv'e worked on a few.
