Does anybody know what a flashing 'S' under the ODO with a warning noise means please!

Does it sound at/over a certain speed! if so it may be the overspeed warning!

Yup, overspeed, to set it push the button on the steering wheel with the s mark on it and hold it down for a couple of seconds.

Overspeed, you are going too fast :-)Hehehe.I think the button to turn it off is the seek button on the steering wheel.Hang on, I'll just go check the XR8 in the drive.

Yup, the radio seek button on the steering wheel is the on/off for the overspeed.
