nattypoo, Jan 28, 10:47pm
hi there i have traded cars with a mte and have noticed the rear end has sagged does anyone know wht it is! its a honda oddessey

kazbanz, Jan 28, 11:09pm
What do you mean sagged! --sits low or the metal has bent !

nattypoo, Jan 28, 11:12pm
it sits low, lower than the front when i have no load in it.

bellky, Jan 28, 11:22pm
It could be designed that way. (Not very likely)

The springs could have sagged. (Not unlikely)

Someone might have modified it to sit like that. (Most likely of the three imo)

nattypoo, Jan 28, 11:26pm
so how do i fix it it also bounces a lot over bumps

splinter67, Jan 28, 11:35pm
New shocks and maybe new springs

franc123, Jan 28, 11:46pm
Import is it! Most of them are set up all wrong for NZ and the factory springs are generally too light and will sag relatively quickly under local conditions, simply what happens when you buy cars made by and for runts. The likes of King or Cobra should be able to supply a good replacement.

have rung the shock shop and they can run a est for me. how hard is it replace springs and shocks!

It's a job you can do yourself.

What local conditions are that different to where the vehicle has come from!

_drdee_, Jan 29, 2:49am
I take it you don't drive a car made by these 'runts'!

Sagging rear! Try one of these Listing #: 557506346

LOL. Wife has that problem and she's an import too!

sr2, Jan 29, 4:21am
LOL; and here I was resisting the urge to make saggy rear end jokes!

franc123, Jan 29, 4:43am
Erm, carrying two or three or even five beefy kiwis in the back, or beefy anyone for that matter, trailer towing, being used on rougher road surfaces that make the suspension work harder. The answers are obvious I'd have thought.

arrithedog, Jan 29, 4:50am
Have you ever driven in Japan!

pico42, Jan 29, 5:33am
Obvious! That's the thing, I have often heard about cars not being suited to "NZ conditions", but the more I see of some overseas roads (and i cannot vouch for Japan) the less obvious it becomes and the more I question this assumption.

Are NZ new versions of these same vehicles outfitted differently when it comes to suspension! I mean for normal mostly urban, some travel type use, not the "high country kit" type upgrade for a particular heavy duty purpose.

was it always that way, when you got car,
