The car that should be made again is the Misti Celeste, slight, tight & quick, even economical 2L 5spd

I am beginning to find the character in a 1974 Austin 1300. I have just taken the head off for the first time in its life for a valve grind/new valve seals, was nice to bring out the imperial spanners and sockets for a change.

They are fun cars, we used to have one many years ago. My brother's MG1100 was even more fun with the uprated suspension though, lift-off oversteer on gravel, great fun. Really keen on a 2-door MG1300 one day, when I can find one.

Not what I said at all.Read it again.
"But a real car person has a wider involvement in matters of motoring than just their daily driver."
That means they may read car mags, attend shows/race meetings, collect model cars, do their own maintenance, be interested in motorbikes, or even anything with an engine, take photos or even contribute sensible posts on motoring message boards.
