So because a "petrol motor powered bike with all it's speed /cc & kw restrictions but also 1 that is "styled" like a std higher performance petrol motor powered bike, can't be ridden on a car licence.

So I have to have a "motorbike" licence to ride any of these

The only time the specs come into it is getting it registered as a moped and it has to be registered as one before you can ride it on another license.

Edit: Those old 50s would do more than 50k

And the driver's licence required to lawfully operate it on a road. Which still isn't sinking in.

One thing has been forgotten:If it meets the speed, cc and power restrictions, but has a manual gearbox-it's a motorbike.

Link to something official! Just because a lot of mopeds may have a certain type of gearbox doesn't make it mandatory.

Plenty of automaticfull size motorbikes around & some of them have full size body kits that "look" the same style as a moped

You guys keep going on about the "less than 2kw" rule.

That was removed a while ago.

Under 50ml and no faster than 50km/h and licensed as a moped is the rule.

and yes even if u have a bicycle and slap any kind of engine petrol or electric under 50cc or 2kyou must have at least Class1

Such a fair system isn't it, you have a car licence, thus you're allowed to ride a small motor powered 2 wheeled machine. You have a motorcycle licence, you are not allowed to drive a small 4 wheeled machine lol
