Thermostat for toyota 4.2 litre diesel

Where is the thermostat situated please hard to find as its ina coaster bus 95 model non turbo thanks

I have never done any work on that type of engine but try this.
Follow the top pipe from the radiator to where it joins (with a hose clamp) to one of these http://www.quicksales.com.au/ad/thermostat-housing-toyota-landcruiser-40-series-60-series-2f/4794818 or similar, if you unbolt that, the thermostat is behind it.

thanks forthe damn thing is on the left hand side of the engine block bout half way down a real pain to get at will have ago tomorrow
