Can it be done so the seats sit flush! When I tug the chords the back of the seats come forward to rest on the base of the seat, surely there's a way to get them flat! Cheers

You fold the backs down as described then tip them up against the front seats. Held in place with a cord that hooks into a loop in the floor. You may need to remove head rests.

not sure on that but on my old Spacio the seat base lifted up and forward so the seat back laid down flat
