the main thing is no white light visible from the lens --red nail varnish over the glue is a good thing

The Mrs backed into the letterbox and poked a hole in a tail light. I glued a $2 shop red reflector over the hole and it passed a testing station wof.

While I was waiting for repairs on my car, including replacing the tail lens the panel beater removed the bulb, dipped it in red paint and put it back in again.
