The Holden add, towing a caravan

Really is this the best holden can come up with? Comparing performance to an almost 20 year old prado.

Well, they cant compare it to a new Ranger,,wouldn't be a good idea.

I remember when the VT Commodores came out, and the ute went to being IRS like the cars and lost about a tonne of tow rating just because of that.

The VT and onwards Holden utes still sold well (were they the right price? they certainly looked pretty cool). but I also remember tradies, Ford people, and others made a big deal out of the fact that the Falcon ute could tow over a tonne more than the Holden ute, because of the Coon's old fashioned cart spring axle, and the Holden was relegated to being not much more than a nice toy for foreman builders who never had to carry much gear.

So if Holdens can tow big loads again, I can understand why their marketing people might want to get that message out there. ?
