im looking to find out what the width of a std caravan is, as we are looking at a carport and not too sure if it will be wide enough, looking at buying a caravan in the new year .

2.3 metres--well that is mine anyway--5.7m Panorama-(18ft)--but think most are that.

2.3 metres,but don't forget to allow for power socket on one side and outside light on other.

If they're on a normal tow hitch/drawbar, they're "simple trailers". While many might be only 2.3 metres, they can be up to 2.5 metres. Yeah, and when you munt the awning track backing it into a tight space, the full impact of this probably won't be apparent until the first day of your holidays, when you'll have a nice little job to do - just when you should be relaxing with a cold beer.
