I had a 62 anglia factory black and i had the most fun i have ever had in a car. It took me and my mates everywhere even accross the estuary between antenree and bowentown ( at low tide of course).

Sadly someone liked/disliked it more then me and stole it and burnt it out :(

lol - I had a MG TF 1250, but after a couple of hundred thousand miles there was no 'rebuild' left in the original engine and gearbox so I replaced it with a 1622 B series from a wrecked Austin Cambridge. It lost a piston top too at some remarkable RPM :)

First car was a Hillman Hunter that cost me $800. Every time I had to do any work on it I found evidence of someone else's incompetence. Rear brake shoes fitted upside down, one of the manifold studs had been replaced with a metric bolt that was nearly the right thread. When the head was taken off there was pieces of ring stuck in the top of one of the pistons.
Learnt a lot about fixing cars ( and panelbeating) from that Hunter. Ended up selling it for $300
