Apparently it;ll turn off automatically when stopped for more than a few seconds? Can this 'feature' be turned off?

I'd assume so, even if it needs to be done by a dealer with a scantool

Well not sure about the corolla but the other cars with this feature you can turn it off, so I think there will be a control for it. I don't like use that stop start feature, all to save a few cents on fuel. when you spent thousands on the car in the first place?,

I thought it was only ze germans using that stupid idea.
