Looking for a back up mechanic, semi retired or retired perhaps, to be on standby for the next couple of weeks for the christchurch Santa parade. If anyone knows of someone that would be available please let me know. Some of the motors under our lovely floats date back to the 40's, even though they the only see the light of day once a year some parts are showing signs of fatigue

MT might see this and offer to help . Why you want a retired Mechanic ? are you concerned a younger Technician wont know their way around a set of points or a generator .
