rings and bearings ca be done in those without removing the engine
but
until you get the head off and the pistons out you have no idea just how bad the bore actually is, it will need measuring and you may get away with pulling the ridge - or it may need removing and reboring

almost any garage with a workshop can remove the engine - you could also do it yourself in about 4 hrs, take one front wheel off and block the axle up, roll an engine lifter in, drop the g/box linkage off then the g/box off, lay it on the floor behind the engine, and then lift the engine out, all up about 20 bolts and 3 sets of wires that actually unplug at the chassis loom
it can be done leaving the rad in place but its just as easy to flip that out off the way first

thanks for the help hopefully the bore is ok as have not had any power loss and only the oil ring are worn
