My rego runs out on the first week of Feb, If I let it run out then don't renew it till the 1st of July, will I have to pay the new discounted prices, or the old more expensive price?

Pretty certain it will be the old prices. Better to renew for 5 months then pay the new prices in July when it expires.

Agree. And be sure to ask for the "Change Expiry Date" form. Then change the date to June 30. That way you don't over pay a single cent.
If you just use the normal form you can't make the date June 30.

Cool thanks, was gonna do it online, where I can pick 5 months, so only overpaying for 4 days, was worth a try though :)

As close as to a good result you are going to get on-line. Well done.

If you don't plan on driving the vehicle you could put the rego on hold for 6 months when the rego runs out -

If you don't put on hold and just let run out, you will have to pay back rego' to FEB'
