Wife's 1990 4af corolla intermittently runs rough to point of stalling
You can then restart and runs fine I'm thinking coil problem that is all I can think of any other suggestions welcome .

Look at the main wiring. Could be a frayed wire touching something and earthing out. Happened to me.

While your considering ignition issues - how old are the spark plugs and leads? And if it only tends to run rough at idle - check the head gasket.

I'm pretty sure that shitting in the carb will only create more problems, if nothing else, it will make your vehicle run like crap

Just ls swap it hahahaha

if you cleaned the carb then the gunge from the carb will be on the sparkplugs afterwards

Hi mate! can't believe I'm going to make a suggestion and possibly solve a problem in your specialised field. I May out do the resident Corolla Guru on this one. Just off to bake a cake with a lot of Humble in it. Everything ok in the soggy south?
