Ford blimmin Focus

I'm in the market for a second hand car and decided to give a Ford Focus hatchback of around 2007 a look. I have a Mondeo, and the Focus has a model with the same 2.0 Duratec engine, which is a cracker. All went well, till I checked the room in the back seat. Unsuitable headroom for people over about 5' 10". C'mon Ford - a European design with a steeply sloping roof that doesn't fit a decent chunk of the European population! Even the Mazda 3 hatch has a tad more headroom.

I think Volvo sells quite well in the Netherlands because of headroom issues.

I tried sitting in the back seat of my 2011 Focus, my head was not touching the headlining and I'm 193cm (6ft 3in in old speak). Not sure how you came to your conclusion.

Probably because he said a 2007 Focus, not a 2011 Focus?

It's a bit late to tell Ford off for that. They stopped building that model 5 years ago LOL.

And the LW 2011 Focus has less head room than the LT 2007 Focus. So not sure how the OP came to his conclusion as well.

My 2011 is an LV (last of the Mk2 bodied models) so exactly the same cabin size as a 2007 LS.
