year 200 , auto . any issues / worries with these ? , I understand they are a rebadged Mazda but is that a good or bad thing ? ,

Yes it's a Mazda 323 for Asian pacific market. Bit dull and lost its spark by 2000 so later ford bought in the European focus which was a more modern better car.
But reliable and simple Mazda. A good thing as far as reliability is concerned.
