2003 Honda CRV torque converter

Hi all, can someone please tell me if these have a lockup torque converter in them cos if they do then mine doesn't appear to be working. If I'm driving at 100km and put my foot down slowly the rev counter jumps up significantly (it doesn't drop down a gear) instead of staying where it should if the torque converter was locked up. Any help would be appreciated, cheers Steve

Yes it should stay locked up for a while, if the power delivery is too much then it will slip out and the rev's will climb then drop again as it locks on as needed. How many rev's is it doing at 100?

I'd have to check that, about 2400 from memory.

I was wrong, it sits at about 2250rpm and today it seemed to work fine. Maybe I had lead in my shoe yesterday!

Yes that seems right to me. I know if the thermostat is not working properly( not heating the engine to correct temp) it will not lock in.
