I think the Isis name for the vehicle came from that of an ancient Egyptian goddess. It is also the name of the Thames where it flows through Oxford.
I agree, though. it is unfortunate for the Toyota model. Unfortunate, too, that it has become in the English speaking worldthe name for a brutal terrorist organisation.

I find it amusing how cars named after important forms in classical music, almost never live up to their name.
