A Honda Accord US wagon. should I look at secondhand or go new. what'sthe price difference approx? Anything else i should know?

What year? Second hand can be from $80 to $200. New $300+. Towbar is usually the easy part, its normally the wiring that can get tricky especially if a newer model.

If you are up to drilling a couple of holes and bolting it on, there is a crowd in Hawkes Bay that seem the cheapest at the moment. Around $200 new, and solidly built. Mine should arrive tomorrow hopefully.
Oh and you wiring won't need a module, just basic wiring.
