Front lower arm rear bushes cracking

Got my wof today and in the comments it said this.

Was just wondering, is this something that should get replaced asap? Or just do it when it eventually cracks? What would the cost of replacing this roughly be?

Car is a Nissan Primera 2001

Thanks.

I'd have to guess it's a rubber bush, and the edge of the flange is cracking.

Not a biggie, if it was, you wouldn't get a WOF. And I can guarantee that when you replace them, the part that does the important job will still be in good order.
The inspector knows this as well.

Best option - as it's been noted, it won't go away. So get it fixed/fix it before your next WOF.
You need to price the parts, and see a mechanic for a fitting price if you can't do it yourself.
At a rough guess, it could be a couple of hours work. But I don't know if they're a mongrel or not.

sounds like the squashable rubbers have cracks as a crack in metal be definetly a failed wof

Cheers, will be off tomorrow getting a few quotes. Hopefully it will be a small job.
