Im looking to start turning my garage into a proper mancave, and one thing Id like to do, is get the floor coated with something. I know you can get some types of hard wearing sealants, and Im wondering if anyone has any experience with products like this either at home, or in their work garages?
any advice, input or direction would be great! - im not really sure wher to even start looking!

prepping the concrete is a big thing. if not installed well it just comes off. some coatings are very hard and smooth, and make the floor very slippery. big advantage (and why we have it at work) is it makes it easy to wash the floor down.
I'm a spray painter by trade and this is the best product I can recommend. It may cost wee bit, but a 10L kit goes a long way. Plus many colour options are available.

Here's a large concrete pool I painted in Altrashield 2000 .
thanks for the replies. I will look into that one grangies.
there isn't much oil in there at all. I'd probably look at an acid wash of some sort as part of prep.
I dont want carpet for several reasons - things get spilled in a garage (I work on my bikes and stuff a lot). I also want something of a very light colour that will reflect, rather than absorb a bit of light. I use the garage at night a lot when its quite dark.

how old is the floor and is there any stains spills on it like oil? i painted my new shop floor after 6 month cuering with 2 component maf aproofed non slip paint , and i had to do a salt removal acid wash with spirit of salt and water scrub down as part of paint prep.
cheap easy way sealer as its concrete then tin of enamel light grey and sum black sand to sprinkle over help traction on feet in wet area,s

substitute white propagating sand from a garden center instead of the black, or if you can get it hammered glass powder, way less light absorption and a lot nicer on the eyes
