I have a 1990 ford festiva 1300 mazda B3- and for the last cpl of months shes had a rattle when moving off from stop position or almost stop at very low revs.It doesnt do it at any higher revs just on take off-forward or reverse.I thought pinking-like timing has changed?but usually thats under full throttle-this is not.Maybe the cam belt has worn and slipped a tooth but then youd have valves touching pistons-bang bang and its not doing that.Mmmm?Any ideas?

Put my foot on the brake-lightly revved-rattle-checked exhaust-no movemont or rubbing etc.Car doesnt do it when outo choke is on -only when heated up-put foot on brake-in gear-lightly tapped accelerater-rattle-left handbrake on in gear-less than 500 revs-noise from cambelt cover-perhaps tensioner bearing?.must add-car no rattle at normal revs only on takeoff.Mmm
