Ouch John Deere hacked again. Looking for more security system engineers.

Pretty serious when most of the newer big planting/ tillage tractors (except older Steigers/ Buds etc), Sprayers, Harvesters, Combines etc have this hackable mumbo inside them. Someone could go hungry.

I do no about that, everytime i screwed the shit out of a early ford, the motors exploded and filled the road behind me with a mixture of oil, bits of piston rings etc, and on top of that if you managed to nurse it along you had endless tappit adjusting, point adjusting etc if it started every morning or ground the starter wires and battery into the ground, nah things have come a long way, but the monopoly that manufacturers are able to build into these computers is just that and we do need democratic government (not the current one) control over what information they can take and locks taken off software.
There was a problem with dodge a few year ago when a hacker was able to take control over your car, scary stuff, imagine this labour party having the ability to switch off your car, communism is already here in NZ.
