looking at buying a '34 Ford hot rod in good condition . the f/glass body, chassis and running gear are all from reputable suppliers over there . has anyone brought similar into NZ and were there any issues with compliance etc ?

Some of the suspension kits from ‘reputable dealers’ are not up to scratch for NZ regulations and won’t pass muster without modification.
And some of the accepted engineering in the US is well short of ‘sound engineering practice’ here in NZ.

discuss it with a certifier before thinking any more about it. I know of one case where they basically started all over again once it got here

thanks have just spoken to a club here and they said same as above . now looking for a good 1933 glass bodied 3 window in NZ if anyone knows of one for sale

have decided not to try and import one in now, will buy in NZ
