Who in Christchurch, from personal experience, can recommend a mechanic who would change the cambelts on a 1997 Rover 600 car for a fair price? Thanks in advance!

I take from that it is the DOHC engine? "belts" being 2 . suggesting Honda version ? 2.3 L or is it a single 1.8L . I wont recommend anyone in particular ,most mechanics are good and capable!

It could be labour intensive and difficult getting parts needed ?,if it has the Honda engine . and the crank sprocket needs to come off if it's to replace a leaky crank seal , ive had to dismantle and buy a new one before in the past . swear they are factory loctited in place!

Thanks for your comments. It is the Honda 2.3 litre engine. The Rover 600 cam belt kit is available from the U.K. and on a large auction website.
have both done good work for me before on older vehicles.
