Hi, can you guys tell me if the 01 and 04 are the same platform. Been tasked to find a tow bar for an 01 and a mate has a 04 one just sitting about doing nothing. So will a 04 fit an 01 anyone know? Cheers.

Both 2001 and 2004 are the mark 3 platform I believe, so if they were both the same body style (i.e. sedan/hatch) then I would say yes it would fit. But not 100% certain

Is the 01 the old shape or new shape? That was the change over point, If the latter can't think of a reason why not.

Thanks, new shape. Its a pain to disrupt the owner just to find out it wouldn't fit lol. I might have to drop bumper off and have a nosy to be sure. just lookin on TM now and appears the arse ends are the same apart from a white indicator light in the 04 as apposed to orange in 01. So I reckons they be the same huh.

01 was the change over year from the old round shape to the new shape. if they are both the new shape then no worries

just go easy towing stuff. those stupid dual mass flywheel/clutches are WEAK and expensive to replace. if you slip/burn it ONCE they are toast
