Right, I asked a police officer ( should have done so in the first place rather than started a thread, but its been interesting)
Not illegal to have a drink, alcoholic or not while driving, provided you are not in a liquor ban area.

A lot of local pc plod would no know it is hwy patrol you would need to ask

No need to ask any cops - it's not an offence.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
