Manual hubs for safari!

I'm wanting to replace the auto hubs with manual hubs on my 89 nissan safari. What hubs are the best! Do they just swap over. I've had the old ones off and they are both different, is this normal! Thanks

Superwinch is a good brand, but I used to buy the cheapest ones, they were OK. You can also get factory ones. You need to unbolt your old auto hubs, bolt on your new ones (you will get new bolts, up to you if you want to use them), refit a circlip or a bolt, depending on the CV locking system you have. Grease and fit outer hub, fit new gaskets (they will come in a kit). Or, if you are fitting second hand ones, use gasket sealant. Before you buy locking hubs, you need to count the number of splines on your axle.

Yes, it just means that one has been replaced with a second hand one at some stage. Oh, and new ones will cost between $300 and $600.
