Car lives outside and has some mould like stuff on the black plastic/rubber bits around the windows. Any ideas on how to remove!

A good quality brand like Mr Muscle / spray and wipe / pine-o-clean etc will get it off.

I tried Armourall on it but it didn't work. We don't have those products mentioned as my partner prefers the eco route and products safe for the septic tank.

The eco ones will do the trick.
Spray it on nice and wet, let it sit for a while, then wipe it off with a rag soaked and rinsed in hot water.
