ford popular E 93 a( ford 10 )you know those skinney tall ones, flat head side valve, hunted round for a ford model 8 cyl head. found the right one up at albany wreckers (40 years ago now ) as luck would have it there were 2 different styles of ford 8 head. but got the right one in the end. by swapping the heads compression ratio went from 6.5 : 1 to about 8 : 1man, what a power difference

Had Austin 1100 parklights cut in to the bonnet & 14" Morris Minor rims & radials fitted (I redrilled the stud holes from 3 to 4 holes)

mk2 escort , we converted it to 4 speed manual from the crappy 3 speed auto , sound system with a sub , small old 70s rev counter , then lowered it with rostyles with the chrome beauty rings on it , gt spotlights behind the grille , air horns had the sheepskin seat covers on it

ta BELLKYyeah that's the trouble with reground cams, you lose lotsa base circle and accuracy the black stuff is commonly called parkerizing, it holds oil on the lobe surface for a break in period , you can have the same effect by letting the surface rust ( fine )
