What extras did you put on your first car

My first car was a '54 EIP Vauxhall, put Y branch on front pipe, then straight pipes to the rear with 2 cooper mufflers.
Also added, remember the aerials about 14 foot long, on both front guards and 2 racing mirrors for good measure.

1957 Morris minor. 1600 ford lump, four into two header, side ext pipe. Discs up front, wide tyres with the wings taken off and extended so that you couldn't see and flares, painted a vile green with red leather interior. Huge cassette system (cool in those days) with real Hi Fi speakers bolted to the rear doors. Oh and the 6 ft whip aerial from the rear centre of the roof! Name writen in the sun visor until Plod called me by first name for speeding.

Mk 1 Cortina, "Peco" twin outlet rear muffler, radiator blind controlled on a chain through to the cabin, Lucas square 8 spotlights cut into the grille, all the interior vinyl (red) sprayed black, 2 x 5 .5 J steelies on the back, home made extended spring hangers, imitiation "Lake" pipes down each side, as many guages I could find a space to fit them. 28/36 dcd Weber carb on an adaptor with a Pancake filter (improved top gear acceleration, it said on the box)

Oh yes and an 8 track mounted on the cardboard parcel shelf under the glove box as it negated the need to change it over to negative earth, which shook and vibrated a lot as the U/Js were poked.

Rx2 with 12A taken to 'stage 2' ports, hot wire mags with sf330 eager tyres that scraped on all guards lol.
Unfortunately revving the poor engine off the clock meant it didnt last too long.

Got a 1961 part restored Greeves in my garage (not a Silverstone!) which may have to go back to the UK, as the numberplate is worth far more than the bike!

1973 XA 302C V8 Fairmont.Bought in 1986.Started off doing stereo - Alpine Radio / Cassette 6 Watts!, 25w amp for fronts, 90w for rear 6x9s, and I think 120w for subs, electric aerial.Changed mags to Hotwires with Eagers.Ran like that for a while, then went to 460BB, headers, twin pipes, C6, 9", repaint to Delphin Grey Metallic (BMW Colour), re-upholstered interior, GT Dash etc etc.First car, still miss that one.

It also had air shocks when I bought it, so they were often pumped up to the max to left the rear up! (later removed and replaced by adjustable Konis all round).

My first car was a 69 Vaxuall Victor, first thing I did was put in a cassette deck and black fluffy dice with a sheep skin rug up on the back seat.

Hope you didn't forget the coloured cats eyes on the mudflaps and numberplate, the slip-in whitewalls, and the sunshield over the top of the windscreen.

69 Mk1 escort 1600 GT, bunged a weber and extractors on it with a nice warm cam, Clarion 950E stereo, Cut slot in the dash to fit it (looked good), Square spotlights behind the grill, Louvres, Hillman Hunter rear shocks to give it that raised look and put Anglia wide rims on with the black plastic nut covers and black plastic centres from a Mk4/5 Cortina.
