you have to sit a test, depends when there is one in your area you also need a police clearance. i think it took around 6 weeks to get mine, however the memory is foggy it was a long time ago.

yep i have done the test and just sent my paper work away to nzta, is the tsl number for life or is it something you have to keep applying for ! thx Paul

Not true, if it is not used for 2 years THEN they can revoke a TSL, however they don't or very rarely do it. I actually have 2 TSL's and have what they call " Grandfather rights" because i have held them for so long.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
