Does anyone know what bearings are in the kit! and so I can go down to the local bearing shop and buy them there. I have been quoted $180 for the rear wheel bearing kit. Thanks

You will probably find that its a sealed bearing or even a complete hub.You might get a slightly better deal from Saeco/SKF or an independent supplier but its still not going to be cheap.If it is a sealed bearing I presume you've got access to a press to extract and install it.
