anyonehave any experience with these cyl heads!
will they survive an over heat with out turning to butter !

Hyundai make their own engines, but some are Mitsubishi clones. If it's the one I'm thinking of, with a DOHC head, they were crap, overheated or not. If it's blown that badly, to the point where you have a geyser, I doubt it's salvagable. You might want to pull the head off just to be sure, but I have not seen many aluminium alloy heads that were reusable after being overheated. If it's done high k's and body isn't tidy, it may not be worth fixing.
