New Price for early 2000s BMW.

trogedon, Nov 25, 9:44pm
What would be a ballpark figure for a new BMW 6 cylinder coupe in the early 2000s! A guy I work with (occasionally) has just bought one from here and would like an idea. Partly as he??

Chuck the plate into carjam.co.nz , it often has NZ new prices for the same model

There must be more to it than pads and rotors to get a $1400 bill though

Good idea re the plate. Hopefully its at school on Monday. Re the $1400 - it's basically just pads/rotors.

vtecnet, Nov 25, 9:59pm
I replaced all the rotors and pads on my E36 320i for around $600, that was a 1997, but the newer ones are similar.

"a new BMW 6 cylinder coupe in the early 2000s!"
Is it new or is it eleven years old!

I think we all know what I mean.

Just get aftermarket parts, problem solved.

bmwnz, Nov 26, 1:07am
That's a lot of money to spend on an old car.

elect70, Nov 26, 1:51am
Far too mucheven best pads & rotors from BNT plus fitting wouldnt come to that . .

tuttyclan, Nov 26, 1:53am
I would quess that would have cost at least 100k when it was new.

trogedon, Nov 26, 2:13am
That's about what he was thinking. It would be nice to be a bit more objective about it though.

#1-
2001/2-new.
$106/110,000 BMW 330i,
$85/95,000 320i.

trogedon, Nov 26, 4:08am
Cheers. That's what we wanted. I think its a 330. His ballpark of $100k wasn't far off.

rsr72, Nov 26, 5:55am
They're a damned good car.
Powerful brakes, and suggest that only OE, or OEM, rotors and pads be used as aftermarket ones don't seem to last as long on them.

fordcrzy, Nov 26, 7:51am
i must admit the 330 is a nice car.

trogedon, Nov 28, 4:25am
I wished he??

saxman99, Nov 28, 4:57am
540i was dear as, more like $150k for one of those.

zephyrheaven, Nov 28, 7:38am
Christ I could fly up from Chch - buy all the parts & even some tools up there & still not charge him that much (incl flights / accommodation / booze)

budgel, Nov 28, 7:56pm
Come on Zeph, you know the booze cost would make it uneconomic!

kazbanz, Nov 28, 11:25pm
Troggie I've stayed outa this thread cos you know its imposssible to give a figure withoutthe ACTUAL year and model.

smac, Nov 28, 11:38pm

trogedon, Nov 29, 3:14am
