Corolla Speaker fade problem

Help appreciated.I have just fitted rear speakers to my sons 1995 Toyota Corolla using all the standard wiring so should be simple however when you try & fade front to rear it simply works like the balance & either right hand or left hand speakers work rather than front or rear, is anyone aware of this problem & can offer suggestions to fix! Thanks

All I can think of is that you connected them wrong at the headunit end.

It sounds like someone has messed up which speaker goes where behind the stereo. (aftermarket stereo I would assume)
You need to connect these stereo wires to the Toyota wires
(1st colour is +ve / second colour is -ve and you MUST join positive to positive etc)

F/L (stereo) White [+ve] / White-Black [-ve] --- (car) Pink [+ve] / Purple [-ve]

F/R (stereo) Grey / Grey-Black --- (car) Green / Blue

R/L (stereo) Green / Green-Black --- (car) Black / Yellow

R/R (stereo) Purple / Purple-Black --- (car) Red / White

I assume you have all other wires connected properly as it turns on and the speakers physically work!

Haha, cheers Andrea, knew you'd be along sometime to finish my work for me.

Orrr, if it's the headunit that was factory - make sure you have wires for 4 speakers and not just 2. As I know the Camry was standard with 2.

OP did you figure it out!
