Hi there I have a nissan terrano td2.7, Battery good but very sluggish when turning over to start. My thoughts were starter motor problem. Had this identical problem 2 years ago and replaced the starter motor-good for 2 years now same problem - not sure whats going on. Any thoughts/comments appreciated .Thankyou.

what did you replace the starter with! new or secoundhand!

Bad battery. Bad earth strap. worn brush in starter (cheaper to rebuild in most cases)

It was second hand socould be the problem,Will check the earthing as well.

Remove starter, hand over to sparky who will replace bearings, brushes if required and clean up the armature and undercut it.
