Have a 96 diamante e-f31a, has auto headlight function. Problem I'm having is full beam will come on whether engine running or not, or whether lights on or off, including auto function off. If I take the relay out its fine - I just don't have any high beams. Can anyone tell me why as soon as I put the relay in they switch on. I've checked everything, its like its acting as a constant on circuit. (I've also swapped fuses to no avail). Help!

you possibly have a sticky combo swithch , ie the contacts in the combo switch have sorta stuck themselves together

thanks - would that be a fix for a person with average skills or because of the air bagged steering wheel would i need an auto sparky!

Could also be that the relay has stuck on. Easy to check if you're handy with a multimeter!
