What would you suggest!
I want one born in this century, paying up to around $10k.
Able to fit lots of horse gear in and occasionall fencing stuff etc.
Don't want a huge motor or gas bill and most importantly, my motorskills impaired mother must be able to get in and out (so seats not too low or needing climbing up into like a bighorn etc).
TIA

Why does your mother need motor skills if she's a passenger.sorry thats a really dumb smartarse Q.

Do you want an SUV or a ute or a wagon! Do you need 4WD and will you be towing a horsefloat!
Cheers Stevo

wont be towing a horse float and havent decided on model.4wd not necessary as dont tend to drive into the paddock

VW Touran,
You do get them occasionally around the 10K mark. Fantastic on fuel, seats just the right height, stacks of room, comfortable and nice to drive. Very safe nice and reliable.

Only real downside is they are not super pretty, but thats the tradeoff for cargo space.

Toyota Fun cargo, good seat height.

A ute might be better as an SUV will start smelling a bit with wet horse gear and fencing materials stored in the back.
Cheers Stevo

saw one of those today - didnt know whether to laugh or cry lol

Have been using a hatch and yes in winter the car can get to smell abit like a wet horse lol.But I do clean it regularly so not so bad.The fencing stuff doesnt get left in and is only really transported from where its kept to the paddock.

As opposed to a Multipla, right!

27pukeko, Dec 14, 8:34am
cheers - saved to my watchlist

thejazzpianoma, Dec 14, 8:35am
Of course, the Multipla was featured in the Museum of modern art. can't argue with that. I actually wondered about a Multipla for the OP. The Touran is ahead of the game a bit though for that budget.
