Most likely a bad connection somewhere. It can also be a faulty sensor, pump, or the control unit.

My work vehicle, Mazda Bounty had an ABS light come on when I lost traction on a farm once. It took around 15 km of driving to clear itself.

Your brake pads are due for replacement

You have a tail light out.

The light means your ABS computer has detected a fault somewhere in the ABS system. You will need the fault codes scanned from it by a garage with a BMW compatible scan tool. This will hopefully tell you which bit isn't working and the garage can advise on the best course of action to remedy it. You will fail your next WoF if the light is still on.

Good luck!

Read much!

better to just disable the light instead of looking for the problem(what problem.)

Brilliant advice there.

It will still fail the WoF if the light doesn't work at all.
