The old man is looking to purchase a second hand lateish model r1100s or a gs(1150 or 1200). He would like to hear from any owners or past owners what they think of them, if they had any issues and what hemight need to watch out for when looking at one. Cheers in advance. Dan

You have a beemer man locally at Hautapu Pine Products, he has an earlier R series and he uses it as his daily ride to and from work, has done for years. I think he is in the workshop there.

mine needed gearbox bearings at 80000km,. thats pretty common otherwise completly reliable. good bikes!
