one day i would like my spoiler repainted, i have a can of spray paint in the right colour i dont know if it will be enough but how much would you quote for a spoiler!

It probably costs more to paint something like that with lacquer now, it's became more labour intensive than 2k and there are quite reasonably priced clears out there.

im spraying my car ( MK1 ford Capri ) and materials alone have cost me $750 and thats without the colour coat or clear, my car has gone back to baremetal so maybe a bit dearer than a quick respray with colour and clear, as Ive had to buy epoxy primer etc. my colour and clear coats paint will be about $700 - $800 depending on what colour im going to go.
