Have to admit that I have mixed oils in the past with no problems.

Unless it's some sort of exotic oil & super expensive vehicle then . .WTF are you worring about.
Even waste oil thats been sitting still for a few months would be ok if poured in gently off the top of the tin. Seeing as you're going to change it real soon. Either that or bugger the bearings from no oil.

mixing mineral oil with synthetic oil makes its semy sintheic .
